February 24, 2017
On February 21, 22, and 23, 2017, the School of Design hosted the closing ceremony for the tenth edition of the Integrative Project – Recreación 17: Real-World Design Experiences in Uruguay | 58 companies | 67 projects | 67 experiences. The event was organized by senior students in the Bachelor’s programs in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, and Multimedia Design. Since 2007, 424 companies and 613 students have participated in Recreación.

In the final stage of the program, during the Capstone Project, students work with a real client to address their design needs, either by proposing a new solution or redesigning an existing one. Over the course of eight months, they develop a project for a company, which involves direct contact with its staff, project development, analysis, and collaboration with other professionals.

The public presentations of the projects took place in the auditorium. The results can be viewed in an exhibition of models and prototypes in the Design School lobby through March 24, which also features the 4th edition of the Final Integrative Project for the Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Video Games.
